Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale Announces
Call for Logo Design Entries

The Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale, celebrating its 33rd year with its October 19 & 20, 2012 event, has announced a Call for Logo Design entries, soliciting submissions from local artists and artist exhibitors.

Over the past several years the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale has refined its focus to represent the wildlife, environment and rural heritage of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and Chesapeake Bay region, and the new logo design should reflect this focus.

For reference, please visit www.chestertownwildlife.org. The new logo will appear on the banner of the website and in our marketing materials, and should include a visual element in keeping with the focus, the event name: 33rd Annual Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale. A Submission Form may be downloaded from the website.

The Rules for Entries are as follows:

1.Submission process: 

  • Initial entries must be submitted by email to info@chestertownwildlife.org by January 30, 2012.

  • The entries must be submitted in both JPG and PDF format. 

  • The email must include the name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the Entrant.

  • No more than 3 Entries may be submitted by any one Entrant. Each entry should be labeled with entrant’s name.

  • Entrant should include a color and b&w version. Logo should be able to work in various formats such as ads, web, literature, etc.

  • The logo must contain only the text specified.

  • The chosen Entrant will release all copyrights to the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale for their sole use.

  • No stock photography may be used.

  • The Board of Directors of the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale may ask Entrant for revisions

  • Entrant must be 18 years of age

  • All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design

  • The chosen design will be selected by judges appointed for the purpose, and by the Board of Directors. Their decision will be final. No further correspondence shall be entered into.

  • While every attempt will be made to use the winning logo in its original design, some alterations may be necessary and the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale reserves the right to include said changes.

  • The Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale reserves the right not to select a submitted design

  • The Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Entry at its sole discretion.

The chosen designer:

    • will have his/her logo used by the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale for an undetermined amount of time

    • will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale 2012 Friday evening event

    • will have a write up included in the Show catalog

About the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale:

Since 1965 the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale has provided a venue for wildlife artists to exhibit their work for both the appreciation and education of the public. The Exhibition has included decoy carvers, painters, photographers, ceramists, sculptors and artists in other media. In addition, activities highlighting the Eastern Shore rural heritage and lifestyle take place including sportsmans’ competitions, live raptors, environmental displays and demonstrations, local musicians and regional foods. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale collaborates in and supports projects which preserve and enhance wildlife, wildlife habitat and ecosystems, and that educate residents of and visitors to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Over the past 15 years the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale has donated more than $60,000 to projects and groups toward fulfilling this mission.
